Justice Park - September 23

A lazy morning resulted in a very late start this morning. After renting a car, our quest took us to "The Village of Justice" about 15 miles south of Chicago (formerly known as Justice Park). Bob's dad (Harry Christian) built a home here in the late 40's, while he was working at Corn Products. Carrying building materials on the train from their apartment in Chicago, he spent nights and weekends constructing the house after his regular work day.

Bob's standing in front of the home, which as been remodeled substantially. The other shots are of neighbors' homes that Bob remembers. They are probably similar to the original one built by Harry.

We continued through the south side of Chicago on our way to the Museum of Science and Industry. Alas, we didn't get there until 3pm and since the museum closed at 4, we didn't get to see it. Oh well, we hope to try again another time.
