We skipped Boston, traveling on to Plymouth where we saw Plymouth Rock for the first time. While searching the waters for a large "Gilbraltor Rock" type monument, we soon discovered that our expectations were somewhat grand. Plymouth Rock is more the size of one of the boulders we have in our front yard!
Our next visit took us to Plimouth Plantation where native american and pilgram communities of the 17th century have been recreated.
The Middletown Elks Lodge in Connecticut was our next night's stop.
