We were sad to leave West Chester, one of the three original counties in Pennsylvania founded by William Penn. The rolling hills, along with numerous horses, make you think of fox hounds and hunts. In fact, the area is known for its horse breeding and training.
We meandered through Mennonite country to East Earl, PA for our next (touring and grazing) stop at the Shady Maple Farm and Smorgasbord. Bob & Walt enjoyed it immensely. People from all around the area seem to be bused in to enjoy the elaborate buffet.
Then, on we went to Hershey, PA. We wanted to tour the chocolate factory, but found there was an Antique Automobile Club of America convention in town. The whole town was overrun with cars and rv's. Amazingly, Bob didn't want to stop so on we went to York, PA. Pat and Walt traveled on to visit her son's in-laws and Bob & I are on our own for a few days.
